July 03, 2012 (Windham, New York) – This past weekend at the UCI MTB World Cup in Windham, New York. Canada’s Catharine Pendrel (Luna Pro Team) won the Elite Women’s race leading a Luna sweep as she locked up the overall title. But the final lap featured some unexpected drama as Pendrel’s teammate Georgia Gould (USA) looked like the sure winner until a fateful flat just before the finish denied her of her first WCup win… Pedal’s Peter Kraiker caught up with Gould and Pendrel post-race for their comments – full results and more about the women’s race here – more photos here.
