September 28, 2006 – The annual ZM Oktoberfest Challenge, organized by Ziggy Martuzalski and ZM Cycling Club, will once again take place on October 1st 2006, in beautiful Cedarvale Park, by the Phil White Arena, located at 443 Arlington Ave.

The mountain bike race will start at 11 am whereas the cyclo-cross race will start at 1 pm.

Last year, the ZM Oktoberfest Challenge had the largest attendance in Ontario. The event received support from many city councilors. This year the support is event greater.

Ziggy states: “My goal is to promote not only cycling as a sport, but also health and recreation for everyone. In 2007, I want to organize more bicycle events (mountain bike, road, cyclo-cross and triathlon) in Toronto. I especially need the support from the media, the City of Toronto and the Canadian and Ontario Cycling Associations. By working together, perhaps one day, a Torontonian will be on a high podium, whether at a world championship or even the Olympics. Toronto has very few sanctioned events. This must change.”
