June 23, 2004 – Fernie Alpine Resort will once again offer Women’s Mountain
Bike Camps to help participants boost their confidence when hitting the
trails this summer. These popular weekends are offered to women of varying
mountain biking ability to hone their skills and build their confidence in a
comfortable and safe atmosphere led by certified female mountain bike
instructors.

The two-day camps include fitness, basic bike repair and maintenance, and
instruction in technical skills, cross-country and downhill riding. Each
day begins with a morning coffee or tea and Kelsey’s will provide lunch to
reload the energy mid-day.

This summer season three camps are being offered:
* Beginner Camp: July 3 – 4
* Beginner/Intermediate Camp: July 24 – 25
* Intermediate/Advanced Camp: August 28 – 29

“These camps have become increasingly popular over the years,” says Melody
Kultgen, Sales & Public Relations Director for the resort. “The camps not
only provide a great setting for women to learn, but participants also have
the opportunity to meet riding buddies of the same ability.”
