June 30, 2007 (St-Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC) — William Garneau (Garneau Crocs) has been selected to join the junior Quebec team at the Canadian Road Cycling Championships in the Beauce region (south of Quebec City) from July 5-11. Hugo Houle (Garneau Crocs) has already been named to the Quebec’s junior squad.

William, the son of Louis Garneau, has been competing in cycling events for seven years and has had an excellent beginning to the 2007 season, according to Louis Barbeau, director general of the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes (FQSC).

Garneau will compete in three events at the championships, including the individual TT, the criterium, and the 120km road race. The next big event on his calendar is Tour of Abitibi from July 16-22.

Garneau Crocs (both junior and senior teams) will also be competing at the Canadian road championships along with the Quebec team.
