September 19, 2009 (Battle Mountain, Nevada) – On Thursday we reported that Canada’s Sam Whittingham had set a new world record on Tues. Sept. 15 in Battle Mountain, Nevada where they’ve hosted the World Human Powered Speed Challenge for a decade – read our report here.
Whittingham has done it again emailing us to say, “Hello Guys, I just managed another jump in speed on Friday night. Fastest speed on a bicycle is now 82.82mph (beating 82.5mph)!! One more night of trials. Still looking for a nice round 85mph!”
