October 8, 2009 (Barrie, ON) – The first ever MTN Cross races under the lights at Hardwood Ski and Bike was a huge success. We had over 40 riders brave the evening, and come and enjoy some fun and fast cyclocross type racing, under the ski lights at Hardwood. The 2.8 km course is fully lit, requiring no lights on the bikes. Riders ranged from our winner and ‘cross phenom Andrew Watson, to 10-yr-old Sarah Howitt giving it her first try.

The MTN Cross races are designed to give a friendly introduction to cyclocross racing for road and mountain bikers alike. Any type of mountain bike or cyclocross bike is welcome. Races start at 7:00 pm each Wednesday until Oct 7, 14, 21, and 28th. Race for only $12.50. Great draw prizes each night.
