January 6, 2010 (Calgary, AB) – Jenny Trew, originally of Calgary, AB, and Chris Reid of Guelph, ON celebrated the upcoming decade at their wedding on New Year’s eve with family and close friends sharing the special occasion with them in Calgary. The pair have been a fixture on the Canadian road cycling scene and it was cycling that brought them together when they first met at the 2001 Canada Summer Games in London, ON.
Trew has participated in many National Team projects over the years, and her most recent claim to fame was winning the final stage at the 2009 Tour de PEI.
The wedding was appropriately cycling-themed with many references to the sport in the toasts and anecdotes throughout the celebrations. Gold cogs and chain rings adorned the tables as ornaments, and the tables were named after significant mountains and climbs in cycling.
Also cycling-themed was the guest list, including names like Catharine Pendrel, Alison Testroete, and Dan Proulx among many others. Check out the photos for a look at the wedding festivities.
We join the cycling the community in wishing the happy couple heartfelt congratulations!
