October 11, 2007 – Christian Meier had another strong day finishing 5th yesterday and jumping into third place overall. Victory went to Spain’s Daniel Moreno (Relax GAM) who took the stage, beating Antonio Aldape (Canels), Javier Mejías (Saunier Duval), Francisco Mancebo ( Relax Gam) and Meier. The mountain-top finish was the spectacular finale to a very tough stage.

Meier was pleased with his result. “I had a good ride here last year and I knew if I stayed near the front I could have another good ride. The team rode well today at the start and we will definitely enjoy the rest day.”

Teams will now have a rest day as they board a plane for Creel for the next day’s stage 5…
