April 26, 2004 – The Stanley Park Bike Festival is Vancouver's celebration of cycling in all its many forms.  The festival grew out of the Brockton Criterium bike race, now in its fourth year in Stanley Park. The Stanley Park Bike Festival continues the dream of a cycling festival for riders of every age, fitness level, and background.

We need the help of cycling enthusiasts to make this year's event a success.

The second annual Stanley Park Bike Festival – is expected to be an even bigger and event including; Organized bike rides to the park from various locations, Group rides around the roads and trails of Stanley Park, Kids' bike race and bike skill rodeos, In-line skating, stunt riders and unicycle demos, Fourth annual Brockton Criterium bike race, Cycling safety & bike maintenance workshops, Treasure hunt & fun games for kids.  Please check out the web site at www.stanleyparkbikefest.ca and volunteer position descriptions at www.govolunteer.ca

When: The festival is on Saturday June 12, 2004 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM with set up beginning at 6:00AM.

Volunteer Positions: Flyer Distributors, Traffic Control/ Marshals, Prize/Awards Coordinator, Registration, Trail ride helpers and Kids Area Assistants.

Benefits to Volunteer: The organizers of the Stanley Park Bike Festival try very hard to make volunteering a fun and rewarding experience.  There are T-shirts for all volunteers, several door prizes, a Thank You Volunteer Barbeque at the Westin Bayshore at 6:00 PM Saturday June 12th, following the event, and letters of reference if desired.  Plus it is simply a lot of fun to be a part of a growing, dynamic and entertaining festival.
