July 9, 2004 – The BMC Software New York City Cycling Championship scheduled for Sunday, August 1, in Lower Manhattan, needs volunteers to handle marshaling, hospitality and expo area duties.

With over 100,000 fans expected to view the race, marshals are needed throughout the 1.2-mile course, which starts and ends at the corner of Wall Street and Water Street. Security volunteers and helpers in the food and beverage and sponsor areas are needed to help make the event a success. The third annual BMC Software NYC Cycling Championship, part of the Pro Cycling Tour (PCT), provides New Yorkers with a unique opportunity to be part of a major public sporting event.
