October 16, 2003 – Good news from down under today.  Navigators' Henk Vogels took in his first ride since his horrific crash on June 29th, at his home in Australia.  He was able to ride for 30km, in a very light gear, with the objective of increasing range of motion and circulation. His only comment to Team Director Ed Beamon, following the ride, was “it really hurt, and it's good to be back on the bike.”  We're all happy to hear that he is back on his bike, and expect that his progress will continue until he returns to his winning ways.
