April 3, 2010 (Victoria, BC) – The inaugural Victoria Gran Fondo is launching on June 26, 2010, and features two distances 170km and 270km at a cost of $100. The supported event starts in Victoria at 6:30am and is organized by the Victoria Wheelers Cycling Club, a non-profit organization. The ride will provide funding for the Go To It – The Wheelers’ Teenage Competitive Cycling Travel Fund.

Cost: $100 CAD This event will provide sustaining funding for the Go To It – The Wheelers’ Teenage Competitive Cycling Travel Fund.
This will be a supported event:

– Aid stations will include fruit, water, sport additives.
– Neutral support car providing wheels, tubes, tires.
– Complementary 12 o/z drip coffee, valid on race day only at Serious Coffee Sooke, Duncan and Mill Bay locations.
– Shuttle support will be provided for those who contemplate the Mediano distance of the Gran Fondo as well as those who will find they need it.
