May 13, 2019 (Chilliwack, B.C.) – Catharine Pendrel (Clif Pro) led a podium sweep of her Pendrel Racing squad in the women’s 35km long course cross-country race at the Vedder Mountain Classic this past weekend in Chilliwack, B.C. Emily Unterberger finished second and Elyse Nieuwold was third. Ricky Federau (Noble Wheels) won the men’s 35km race over Spencer Paxson (USA) in second with Mark Allison (Can) third.
“So great to have amazing BC events to help develop our young talents! Great day for the team at the @veddermountainclassic with Emily taking 2nd and Elyse 3rd. The course took them just over 2hr 47 minutes with lots of climbing and amazing descents. Elyse will race her ORBEA Rallon tomorrow in the @canadian_enduro_series and try for the Queen of the Mountain title that belongs to the top finisher combining both events,” commented Pendrel on FB
