November 25, 2010 (Vancouver, BC) – An 80-year-old man was struck by a cyclist while walking to a bus stop in Vancouver on November 17 and later died of his injuries, reported the Globe and Mail. Authorities claim this is the first known fatal cyclist-pedestrian collision in the Vancouver region. According to the Globe and Mail, the man’s family was told the cyclist was speeding at 50km/h.
