February 19, 2018 (Phoenix, Arizona) – Canada’s Sara Bergen (Rally Cycling) finished 2nd overall followed by fellow Canuck Alison Jackson (Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank) in 4th as the duo finished 8th and 9th respectively on the final Stage 3 Circuit Race.

Kendall Ryan (USA) Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank took the final stage win as Leah Thomas (USA) United Healthcare won the overall. Gillian Ellsay (Can) Rally Cycling was 10th overall for three Canadians in the top 10 on the final GC.

“Teammates are so critical in bike racing,” said Bergen. “During the road race, my teammates were instrumental in taking pressure off me and allowing me to focus on those key GC riders. Being able to trust and depend on my teammates to share the workload is so awesome. Even more importantly, being able to use the team to put pressure on specific riders is critical when you are outnumbered and trying to make up valuable time.”
