COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. USA Cycling, the national governing body for the sport was informed Friday, May 10, that the Superdrome in Frisco, Texas has been deemed unusable.

Due to unsafe riding conditions, the Superdrome will not be able to host the
2002 U.S. Cycling Federation’s (USCF) Master National Track Cycling
Championships. The event was scheduled for August 6-10.

USA Cycling is already in the process of researching and seeking out a new
venue for the annual event.

“We recognize the importance of this event and are eager to confirm another
venue,” said USA Cycling Events Director Eric Moore. “Our members can rest
assured that only the highest-quality facilities and race organization will
be considered as we look for a new location.”
