US Pro XCT Mellow Johnny’s Classic – Plaxton Wins, Pendrel 2nd

March 02, 2014 (Dripping Springs, Texas) – Canada’s Max Plaxton (Cannondale Factory Racing) won the men’s race at the US Pro XCT #1 Mellow Johnny’s Classic, over fellow Canuck Geoff Kabush (Scott-3Rox Racing) with Todd Wells (USA) Specialized claiming 3rd.  Reigning Canadian MTB champ Derek Zandstra (Scott-3Rox Racing) was 5th.

In the women’s race Catharine Pendrel (Can) Luna was second on the podium as Luna swept the top three spots as Katerina Nash (Cze) Luna won and Georgia Gould (USA) was third ahead of Canada’s Emily Batty (Trek World Racing) in 4th.
