December 14, 2004 – USA Cycling is pleased to announce the return of the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships to Mammoth Mountain, Calif. September 15-18, 2005.

Over 1,400 participants lined up to race Mammoth’s challenging courses this past September as the new one-day format for crowning national champions was unveiled. USA Cycling is excited to return to the popular destination for a second consecutive year and hopes to improve upon the event’s success.

“We were very pleased with the outcome of the first one-day national championships in 2004,” commented USA Cycling CEO Gerard Bisceglia, “Mammoth is an ideal location and we look forward to another great event in 2005.”

“Mammoth was thrilled to host the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships in September,” Mammoth Mountain Events Manager Kristy Williams remarked. “The 2004 event was a huge success and we’re really looking forward to building on last year’s event to make the 2005 event bigger and better.”
