US Justice Department Joins “Whistleblower” Suit Against Armstrong

April 24, 2013 – The US Justice Department filed its case in the “Whistleblower” Suit against Lance Armstrong, along with former team director Johan Bruyneel and the team’s management company, Tailwind Sports, just in time for Tuesday’s deadline, according to the Associated Press. The Justice Department claims Armstrong violated his contract with the US Postal Service and was “unjustly enriched” through the sponsorship that saw the Postal Service pay him $17 million from 1998-2004.
