US Grand Prix of MTB DH – Smith Wins

April 30, 2012 (Port Angeles, WA) – Steve Smith of Nanaimo, BC, took top spot at the second round of the NW Cup/Pro GRT Sunday in Port Angeles, WA,  against a stacked World Cup lineup. Aaron Gwinn of the US was in second, Mick Hanna of Australia third, Josh Bryceland of the UK fourth and Neko Mulally of the US in fifth. Canadian Mark Wallace of Duncan, BC, finished 10th, Remi Gauvin of Nanoose Bay, BC, finished 15th and Kyle Sangers of Kingston, ON, finished 20th. Smith

In the woman’s field, Jill Kintner of Seattle, WA, took the win followed by Miranda Miller (2nd) of Garibaldi HIghlands, BC, Holly Feniak (3rd) of Sechelt, BC, Joanna Petterson (4th) of Jerico, VT, and Katie Holden (5th) of Scotts Valley, WA.
