US Cyclocross National Championships Results

December 17, 2007 – The US Cyclocross National Championships took place on a snowy weekend in Kansas City, Kansas. Cold and snow added to the challenge of the races, creating ruts on the course.

Tim Johnson (USA) Cannondale/Leer/Cyclocrossworld took the crown in the Elite Men’s race, where 69 registered riders did not start and 19 riders did not finish. Jonathan Page (USA) Sunweb-Projob rolled into second place, only 8 seconds off the leader. Todd Wells (USA) G.T. was third. Defending champion Ryan Trebon (USA) Kona/YourKey.com DNF’d after a crash.

In the Elite Women’s ranks, Katie Compton (USA) Spike Shooter stated her dominance once again, beating out second place, Rachel Lloyd (USA) Proman/Paradigm by 22 seconds and third place, Georgia Gould (USA) Luna Women’s MTB Team, by over a minute.
