May 3, 2011 – Here are some great photos and brief results with Canadians from the US Crits Speedweek’s Roswell Criterium won by Theresa Cliff-Ryan (Colavita/Forno D’Asolo) and Jake Keough (Unitedhealthcare). Canada’s Joelle Numainville (Team TIBCO/To The Top) was the top Canuck in the women’s race in fifth place, while Adam Thuss (Trek Red Truck Racing) was the best Canadian in 25th in the elite men’s competition.
According to Jet Fuel-La Bicicletta’s Ed Veal, it was gnarly out there: “I crashed three times during the race. Pretty beat up. Last corner holding 15th spot and there are three down in front of me leading into the final sprint. Last one hurt the most because I was very close to having my best NRC finish.”
