November 16, 2012 (Silver Star, BC) – XC Supercamp hosted by Silver Star and Sovereign Lake is adding a twist to its xc ski camps by adding a cycling theme. Olympian and former MTB World Champ, Catharine Pendrel, has signed on as a keynote speaker for the XC Supercamp running Nov. 26-30, and Nov. 30-Dec. 2 – read more about the camps here.

“Catharine is someone who transferred her cycling ability to skis, and had great results at the Sparking Hill Masters World Cup in 2011,” said Julie Melanson, Communications Co-ordinator for Supercamp.

“We are really pleased to have Catharine at the camps. Her positive energy and athletic ability make her a great role model and we’re hoping to share that with the skiers.”

“Many skiers ride bikes in the summer. With Norco signing on as a sponsor to Supercamp, we are speaking their language. We will have trainers and bikes available to the camp participants for them  to warm up in the morning, or spin their legs out in the afternoon after their ski,” says Guy Paulsen, Silver Star Nordic Manager.

Registrations continue to flow in for the 2012 Cross-Country Supercamps, which begin on Monday, Nov. 26.
