November 8, 2010 (Edmonton, AB) – On Saturday November 6, United Cycle hosted its annual Bike Expo, inviting the general public in the greater Edmonton area to come on down to get a taste of the up coming bike goodies of the 2011 season. Expo attendees had a chance to win a TacX Flow trainer by taking a virtual ride down the Las Vegas strip via TacX new Virtual Reality trainer technology.
Triathlete Paula Findlay (2010 World Cup Triathlon Gold Medalist – London, Kitzbuhel) and Norco’s freerider, bike park builder, Ride Guide host extraordinaire Jay Hoots, were on hand signing autographs and talking about bikes while Trek Speed Concept Developer Carl Matson was on hand for a sit down seminar regarding the development of Trek’s new Speed Concept Triathlon & Time Trail bike.
Specialized Canada was also displaying all of their great new 2011 models and is celebrating 20 years in Canada – all attendees were treated to some excellent Specialized chocolate cake.
Over $5,000 in prizes was given away to those in attendance including an Electra Cruiser, Mirraco BMX, Giro Helmets, Camelbaks, and Sugoi clothing.
