July 26, 2004 – Following its second meeting day in Salzburg (AUT), the International Cycling Union’s Management Committee has adopted its new Anti-doping Rules, taking into account the World Anti-doping Code as well as general principles of law. These new Anti-doping Rules will come into force on August 13, 2004.
The Management Committee has also definitively approved the UCI’s Code of Ethics and Rules of Good Governance.
Amongst other decisions, the Management Committee has accepted the introduction for 2005 of technical assistance in cross-country events, and closer cooperation with BMX Freestyle.
