July 28, 2013 (Vallnord, Andorra) – Canada’s Steve Smith (Devinci Global Racing), wearing his National Champ Maple Leaf for the first time, put in a solid run to land himself another World Cup podium, finishing 4th in Andorra at round #3 on Sunday. Smith was in the hot seat until the final few riders as Rémi Thirion (Fra) Commencal / Riding Addiction took the win over Gee Atherton (Gbr) GT Factory Racing in second with top qualifier Samuel Hill (Aus) Chain Reaction Cycles.Com / Nukeproof in third. Troy Brosnan (Aus) Specialized Racing DH rounded out the final podium in 5th. This is Smith’s third consecutive podium in the first three WCups of the season as he sits second overall behind Atherton.
