June 28, 2003 (Mont-Ste-Anne, QC) – Canadian Jordie Lunn had the ride of his life when he raced down Mont-Ste-Anne in yesterday's race. After his qualifying run, Lunn finished in 10th, ahead of top riders, including Christopher Kovarik (AUS) and Bas de Bever (NED). In his final, Lunn kept the pressure on and finished in 11th spot! Steve Peat won the gold, edging out South Africa's Greg Minaar (in second) and France's Cedric Gracia!

In the women's race, Canada's Michelle Dumaresq finished in 13th place after a stellar fifth place in the qualifying run. Great Britain's Fionn Griffiths stole the show on the mountain, taking the women's gold. Not far behind her were Kona Clarks rider Tracy Moseley (in second) and American Marla Streb (Luna Women's Team) in third.

In the four-cross Cedric Gracia moved up one position on the podium to take silver while American Eric Carter rose to the top to claim the gold. Australia's Wade Bootes rounded out the top three. Australian Katrina Miller took the gold in the women's four cross.
