May 7, 2006 (Vigo, Spain) – The UCI World Cup four-cross series opened Saturday in Vigo, Spain to a packed start list. In the men’s race, two riders from the Czek Republic careened into the top three. Mickal Prokop (CZE) and Kamil Tatarkovic (CZE, Kona-Les Gets) finished first and third respectively, making it a Roger Rinderknecht (SUI, G.T.) sandwich as he finished second.

Jill Kintner (USA, G.T.) won the women’s race. Sabrina Jonnier (FRA, Iron Horse) and Anneke Beerten (NED, Specialized) took second and third spots.
