September 5, 2010 (Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC) – The Elite men’s, 26″ Trials semi final was held on Friday and the Canadian team was made up of Trevor Bodogh from Ontario, and Jeff Anderson and John Webster both from BC. With Canada hosting the Worlds this year, the crowd was very energetic in their support for the Canadian riders.
Only the top 8 riders advanced to the finals, and for the first time in UCI Trials history, a Canadian rider made the final in the Elite men’s 26″ category. John Webster, placed 7th in what proved to be a very tough semi final, only two points behind the legendary 20″ rider Benito Ros, who is competing in both 20″ and 26″ categories and made the finals in both.
The Elite men’s 26″ Trials final takes place on Sunday at 1:50pm.
