UCI Track World Championships Day 1 – Brown Strong 4th in Pursuit

February 20, 2013 (Minsk, Belarus) – Canada’s Laura Brown finished a fantastic 4th in the Women’s Individual Pursuit today, losing in the bronze medal round to Australian Annette Edmondson. American Sarah Hammer won ahead of Australian Amy Cure.  Cure lead for the first half before fading in the final kilometer. Australia regained the men’s Team Pursuit title by a wide margin over perenial rivals Great Britain. Canada’s Women’s Team Pursuit team races tomorrow.
