September 07, 2012 (Saalfelden, AUT) – Jolanda Neff (Switzerland) scored the rainbow victory in the U23 Women’s race,  1 Start Loop + 5 Laps for a total distance of 24.8km and an average speed of 17.72km/h at the 2012 UCI XC MTB World Championships. The Ukraine’s Yana Belomoyna took the silver with Paula Gorycka (Poland) winning the bronze. Andréanne Pichette lead the Canadians in 23rd followed by Andreane Lanthier-Nadeau in 24th, Cayley Brooks in 32nd and Haley Smith finished 40th.
