UCI MTB Worlds Junior Women’s DH – Canada’s Rosser Wins GOLD – Audio Interview

by pedalmag.com

September 5, 2010 (Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC) – Canada’s Lauren Rosser has won the gold in the Junior women’s DH on Sunday at Mont Ste-Anne over Fanny Lombard (France) in second and Julie Berteaux (France) in third. It’s Canada’s first DH Worlds gold since Cindy Devine won Elite DH gold back in 1990 in Durango, CO at the inaugural MTB Worlds.

“It’s a great course,” said Rosser after her win. “I’m from BC so I’m used to riding in mud and wet conditions. In the seeding runs I was a little bit faster and found some new lines which helped. Now that I’ve had a little bit of training it felt better and I had a lot of fun out there in the corners.”
