September 03, 2015 (Vallnord, Andorra) – Team Canada’s Raphael Auclair had a fabulous race finishing 9th in the 21km Junior Men’s 5-lap XC race won by Denmark’s Simon Andreassen at the 2015 Mountain Bike World Championships in Andorra.

Auclair had a strong start sitting in 6th until the penultimate lap when he dropped to 7th. On the final lap he slipped to 8th and then battled with Jonas Lindberg (Denmark) and ended up a career-best 9th. Maximilian Brandl (Germany) staved off a challenge by Egan Bernal (Colombia) on the last lap to claim the silver with Bernal the bronze.
