August 26, 2017 (Val Di Sole, Italy) – Canada’s Finnley Iles (Specialized Gravity) claimed the Junior Men’s DH final round and defended his overall UCI MTB World Cup title in Val Di Sole, Italy on Saturday with a remarkable near-perfect season.

In the Elite Women’s final reigning Canadian champ Miranda Miller (Specialized Gravity) was 7th to finish 9th overall as Tahnee Seagrave (Gbr) Transition Bikes / FMD Factory took the win with second-placed Myriam Nicole (Fra) Commencal / Vallnord taking the overall series title.

Fellow Canuck Mark Wallace (Can) Canyon Factory Racing DH finished his best season taking 7th in the final round and 8th overall as Aaron Gwin (USA) The YT Mob was unstoppable winning in Val di Sole and taking the overall series title. His main challenger Greg Minnaar (RSA) Santa Cruz Syndicate suffered a rear flat to finish 3rd overall behind Troy Brosnan (Aus) Canyon Factory Racing DH.
