September 02, 2012 (Leogang, Austria) – Holly Feniak, from Sunshine Coast, B.C., won GOLD for Canada in the DH Junior Women’s final this morning becoming the first rider to claim a rainbow jersey at the UCI MTB DH World Championships in Leogang, Austria.
Forrest Riesco lead Canada in the Junior Men’s race placing 25th with Hugo Langevin 30th, Mark Wallace 42nd, Philippe Ricard in 66th and Mckay Vezina finished 71st. Top qualifier Loic Bruni from France won the gold.
