May 25, 2019 (Nove Mesto, CZE) – Canada’s Carter Woods (Rocky Mountain Factory Team) finished 10th after injuring his knee as he hit a post while battling for the lead with eventual winner Charlie Aldridge (Gbr) GB National Team in the Junior Men’s 22.30km race which consisted of a start loop and five laps. Woods recorded the fastest lap en route to 10th.
In the Junior Women’s 18.40km race Canadian Emilly Johnston (Pendrel Racing) had a tough start suffering a crash while near the front but battled back from the 30s to finish 13th overall. Helene Marie Fossesholm (Nor) took a solo victory with 1:38 margin over Tamara Wiedmann (Aut) JB Brunex Felt Factory Team in second with Sofie Heby Pederson (Den) Danish National Team in third.
