UCI Doping Sanctions

November 15, 2003 – The latest UCI Doping Sanctions for doping offences have been handed out, and here are the riders affected.

1. Gianluca Moi is sanctioned by the Federazione Ciclistica Italiana, with a disqualification from Giro delle Regioni 2003, and suspension of one month from  July 30 2003 to August 30 2003 and fine of CHF500 ($490 Cdn)

2. Raimondas Rumsas is sanctioned by the Lithuanian Cycling Federation with a disqualification from Giro d'Italia 2003 and a one year suspension year from  July 17 2003 to August 17 2004 and fine of CHF2000 ($1,960 Cdn).

3. Samuel Faruhn is sanctioned by Bund Deutscher Radfahrer and a fine of CHF400 ($390 Cdn).

4. Markus Wimmer is sanctioned by the Oesterreichischer Radsport Verband, with a disqualification from the Wiesbauer Tour 2003, and a suspension of two years from September 5th 2003 to September 5th 2005 and fine of CHF2000 ($1,960 Cdn).
