November 02, 2012 – On the basis of the files received by the required deadlines and following their evaluation in collaboration with UCI-appointed auditor Ernst & Young, the UCI today proceeded with the registration of the teams listed below in either the first or second divisions for the 2013 season.
It should be noted that to date, only first division teams with continuing licences which meet the required sporting, ethical, financial and administrative criteria as well as teams seeking to be registered in the second division which have provided files considered to be in compliance, in accordance with ethical, financial and administrative criteria, have been registered by the UCI.
The UCI ProTeams which have asked for a licence renewal (AG2R La Mondiale, Euskaltel-Euskadi, Garmin Sharp, Former Rabobank and Team Saxo-Tinkoff), as well as a candidate team from the second division (Team Argos-Shimano) and also those which are ranked between 16th and 20th in the ranking of sporting value (FDJ and Lotto Belisol) will automatically be called before the Licence Commission.
The teams Katusha, Movistar Team and RadioShackNissan will also be heard by the Licence Commission in accordance with article 2.15.071 of the regulations.
Shortly after November 26th, the UCI will communicate a first series of decisions of the Licence Commission concerning the awarding of first division licences and registration in first or second division.
The final decisions of the Licence Commission will be communicated on December 10th.

However the UCI would like to make it clear that any significant change in the information used to establish the evaluation of the teams whose registration has been announced above will automatically be referred to the Licences Commission with the possible consequence of the withdrawal of the UCI WorldTour licence, the withdrawal of the registration or the suspension of the team depending on the seriousness of the case.
