October 03, 2014 (Maple Ridge, BC) – Back by popular demand, Local Ride in partnership with Ridge Meadows BMX Club will present its thrilling Tuesday Night Short Track Cyclocross races under the lights at the Ridge Meadows BMX track in Pitt Meadows, BC, starting October 7.
These fast and furious races held on the Ridge Meadows BMX track and surrounding area are a great way for new riders to experience the excitement of cyclo-cross in an accessible and relaxed environment. Practiced ‘crossers will hone their skills and tactics over dozens of dizzying laps on a tight and challenging loop.
Racing starts Tuesday, October 7 and will run through the month of October with the possibility of extending series into November. For more information go to www.localride.ca or contact Barry Lyster at localrideracing@shaw.ca.

Times:
- 5:30 pm – Open Track
- 6:00 pm – Youth, Beginner Men and Women – 20 minutes
- 6:30 pm – Elite Men and Women – 30 minutes
Location: Ridge Meadows BMX Club, Barnes Road, Pitt Meadows
Cost: $5 Youth and RMBMX club members / $10 everyone else
Licenses: You must have a Cycling BC race license to participate
Series Winners: Points will be tracked for the duration of the series. Winners of each category, men and women, will receive a special award.
