December 23, 2003 – On December 4, 2003 Trilife Inc. filed an assignment in bankruptcy in Toronto. The 11 year-old company stages the popular 24 Hours of Adrenalin series in Canada and the USA. In their Statement of Affairs Trilife's assets were listed at $78,740 of which $45,000 is comprised of rolling stock which refers to vehicles and equipment used to stage their events. Total liabilities were $375,774.95, leaving $297,034.95 owed primarily to 17 unsecured creditors.
Two US law firms, one in Denver and the other in Atlanta, a Canadian law firm in Hamilton, and a video production company based in Dundas, Ontario are the main creditors. A Western-based Canadian venue and a cycling company in Western Canada are amongst the smaller creditors.
Trilife was not available for comment but we understand that the company has regrouped and will have announcements in the new year as to their plans. The first creditors' meeting was held on December 22 in Toronto.
