April 13, 2005 – Hello all my friends in cycling!! As most of you have heard, I’ve not been active on the professional cross-country mountain bike circuit this season! To squash all rumors…I haven’t retired….I’m just refueling the fire! heh heh

With that cleared up… I bumbed into the Trek Women’s Specific Design people at the Vegas bike show last October! Here is a line of bikes and accessories specific to women cyclists. And here all along I thought I was asking Ben, Ian and Kevin to fit my bike according to “Chrissy” specific! Yo, I knew exactly what they were talking about and exactly where they were coming from. We bonded instantly and I immediatly knew I would be taking on a new role with the Trek Bicycle Company in ’05!

Welcome to the WSD (women specific design) Fit for Women Demo Tour, sponsored by Trek bicycles and Dasani Water!!

Myself, along with Chris Garrison, a professional female bike mechanic, will be road tripping in our new VW Toureg. We’ll be attending cycling events of all disciplines this season promoting cycling to women, as well as the WSD bikes and accessories of Trek. We will be helping women enjoy riding their bikes more by doing free bike fits on their own bikes, offering free bike demos on our WSD mountain, road and triathlon bikes, and generally having fun!

Please come by the booth and check us out! We are the ones with the red hibiscus flowers our banners and the pink Nike short shorts!! 🙂
