April 11, 2007 – Three weeks ago Canada’s Travis Smith crashed at the UCI Track World Championships in Mallorca, Spain. Initially, the doctors thought he suffered a sprain but upon further observation, including treatment from Coast Therapy and Dr. Howard Marans, Smith will need surgery to take care of two fractures found deep inside his hip joint. The name of the injury is posterior acetabular fracture with posterior hip dislocation.
