October 30, 2006 — The TransRockies Challenge is back for its sixth year in 2007 and we are expecting our biggest and best edition yet. We are now, unquestionably, North America’s premiere endurance mountain biking event, and we’re looking forward to drawing a wildly international group of riders to the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains for the challenge of a lifetime.
In 2007, the TransRockies will be held from August 12-18 and we’re capping the field at 275 2-person teams. We’ll be opening registration for the 2007 TransRockies Challenge at 12:01am MST (GMT -7) on November 1st.
Those 275 places will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis and entries can either be submitted electronically through the website www.transrockies.com or by faxing in the entry form also available online.
Once again, teams will be competing in six categories based upon age and gender, and can sign up for three event packages based upon the level of service provided. Full details of the various packages are available here.
We only accept entries for teams rather than individuals, but riders can sign up for a team spot without confirming their partner. The responsibility for finding a race partner remains entirely theirs.
We expect the TransRockies Challenge to reach full capacity quickly once again, so if the TransRockies is on your to-do list for 2007, be sure to reserve your spot early.
