March 23, 2005 – Six Canadian track athletes are preparing to compete at the UCI Track World Championships in Carson, California from March 24-27th. Sean O’Donnell of the Canadian Cycling Association confirmed that the team consists of Lori-Ann Muenzer of Alberta, Mandy Poitras of British Columbia, Travis Smith of Alberta, Cameron McKinnon of Alberta, Yannik Morin of Quebec and Martin Gilbert of Quebec.

The majority of the team arrived on the 18th of March, the only one to go down earlier was Muenzer. The following is the list of which events the athletes will be participating:

– Lori-Ann Muenzer: Match Sprints, 500 Meter
– Mandy Poitras: Points Race, Scratch Race
– Travis Smith: Kilo, Team Sprint
– Cameron McKinnon: Team Sprint
– Yannik Morin: Team Sprint
– Martin Gilbert: Points Race
