July 1, 2005 – The Track Nationals got underway yesterday in Calgary, Alberta. Some of the highlights include Gina Grain (Victory Brewing) winning the women’s Scratch race in a barnburner sprint that went to the photo, as she just nipped Mandy Poitras (Rocky Mountain). Alex Cloutier (Quebec) qualified first for the men’s 4000m pursuit, with a time of 4:46. Travis Smith showed his dominance again, taking the kilo with a new track record.
