September 9, 2003 – Canada's Michael Barry rode well to garner a second place along with his USPS teammates in yesterday's TTT. Barry said he felt strong and the team rode smoothly throughout, after losing a bit of time on the first climb. “Everyone finished together on our team to the finish, and we were taking equal turns. I felt strong and was glad to help out the team,” Barry said, “We lost a bit of time on the  first climb but didn't panic; we sped up toward the end and gained on everyone except ONCE.” Barry is now 14th overall, in amidst his teammates. “We used the special Nike skinsuits as used in the Tour, and  they felt fast. Now it's just a matter on focusing on the next few stages and try to protect Roberto as much as possible.”
