May 2, 2004 – Phonak's Tyler Hamilton took the final stage of the Tour of Romandie, a 20.4km TT. With the win, Hamilton clinched the overall, repeating his 2003 triumph. Brad McGee (FDJ) took second in the TT, ahead of Gerolsteiner's Ronny Scholz.
