Tour of Oman Stages 5 & 6 Results, Final GC, Photos – Canada’s De Vos in Break

February 18, 2018 (Matrah Corniche, Oman) – Canadian Adam De Vos (Rally Cycling) made the break on Stage 5 with teammate Robin Carpenter in 32°C heat as their gap increased to 5:05. The break shattered on the Green Mountain climb as Carpenter tried to go it alone but was caught as Miguel Angel Lopez (Col) Astana Pro Team and Alexey Lutsenko (Kaz) Astana Pro Team shared the victory.

Lutsenko won the overall as Alexander Kristoff (Nor) UAE Team Emirates took the final Stage 6 from Al Mouj Muscat to Matrah Corniche, 135.5km, over Bryan Coquard (Fra) Vital Concept Club in second with Giacomo Nizzolo (Ita) Trek-Segafredo third. Canada’s De Vos finished 73rd overall.
