October 18, 2003 – Fassa Bortolo's Michele Bartoli has taken the Tour of Lombardy, the “Race of the Falling Leaves” over Angelo Lopeboselli (Cofidis), and his teammate Dario Frigo. Bartoli led the sprint out from Lopeboselli and managed to put a few bike lengths into him by the end. Paolo Bettini (QuickStep) had already clinched the Overall World Cup, but Michael Boogerd has jumped into second ahead of Peter Van Petegem (Domo).  Official results later today on pedalmag.com
