May 10, 2003 – Today's stage of the Four Days of Dunkirk was held on a tough, World Championships like circuit, with riders completing 179.5 race on 25k loops.  France's Christophe Moreau (Credit Agricole) won the tough race, followed by compatriot Didier Rous (Brioches La Boulangère). Canada's Michael Barry (USPS) had a great ride, finishing just behind the super climber Richard Virenque (QuickStep) group. Barry's teammate Dave Zabriskie finished 5th, and with Aussie Matt White finishing 11th, USPS now leads the team classification.

Barry said the race was tough from the start… “the race was attritious, very fast from the start. Our team came to the front when it began to split and were strong and representing at the front.” Barry also received support from a group of Canadian fans, led by his close friend Chris Mathias.  “It was really a worlds-like course, and by that I mean there were plenty of steep hills, making it a relentless course.  We now lead the team G.C. with a time trial tomorrow in the morning which we will all be trying to do well in,” added Barry.
